"Alan has to be one of the most patient men, ever. He choreographed a salsa routine that my friends and I could perform at my eighteenth birthday celebration a couple weeks ago, and let me tell you, the hard work was well worth it. He had a group of 14 teen aged boys and girls who knew nothing about salsa. The most we knew was that we ate it with our tortilla strips. He basically just took us from scratch and made us into actual salsa dancers...
...In about 5 months, we were able to dance and have fun learning something completely out of our comfort zones. In those five months, however, we were prone to goofing off or not being focused, but Alan definitely takes everything in stride and helps us to concentrate once more. Even if I was getting temperamental or getting a negative-mindset, he is incredibly encouraging and gives not only me, but everyone else positive reinforcement.
But besides all the nice parts about him, he taught us some amazing moves that we had no idea we could do. All of the boys in my group suddenly learned they had hips, and all the girls learned to trust a male with their body. The best part of my experience learning from Alan is that if there are any school dances I have to go to, I don't have to sit out when the salsa music plays. This will definitely stay with me for a very, very long time. Dancing and learning the salsa was so much fun with Alan; I'm only sad that it ended!"

"When my daughter decide to have a debut, she wanted a salsa dance to be her major performance in the program. She picked 12 friends to be in her court, and none of them knew a thing about Salsa. I'd like to share with you a wonderful, and my most memorable dance experience prior to becoming a Salsa dance instructor. A simple (and sweet) choreography for my sister's wedding. It was my surprise wedding present for her together with my other sister, which she had no prior experience.
